Ronald Fontaine - Grandfather (Mom's Father) :  You can click on my grandfather's picture to get more information on him and the relationship I shared with him.  He was the 2005 Pich' Award Winner for Most Inspirational to The Pich'.  Later after his passing in 2006 the award was named after him.

Joyce and James Hayes - Great Aunt and Uncle (Mom's Mother's Brother and Wife) :  They passed away seperatly but not far apart.  Which is very fitting because these two were always together as they are now.  I was not very close with them, but I know that I have a alot in common with Uncle Jimmy.  I often saw the pair in the mall and I miss running in to them there.

Deborah J. Horne - Rachael's Mother :  Rachael has always been an important person in my life and therefore her family was as well.  Deb was a valued member of the community at Essex High School as a science teacher, yet also found the time to be a great wife, and mother.  For more on my thoughts around the time we lost Mrs. Horne please click here: Remembering Deborah J. Horne

William Kolasch - Teacher : Mr. Kolasch was my 4th grade teacher, and I was apart of his first ever class.  He was always ultra-nice to me in school and even consoled me after the Broncos took brutal beatings in the Super Bowl.  I'll never forget his kind smile and the way he loved the kids.  He was one of the best teachers I've ever had because he was one of the first teachers who took the time to get to know the kids for more than just student purposes.  He lost a battle with cancer and will be missed by everyone.

Clifford Michels - Co-Worker : Cliff worked at UVM with me.  I saw him alot when I first started working there in the mornings but the last few years I simply saw him at games.  He was an avid fan.  He told me alot about his days in the service and always loved to talk about his Yankees.  Cliff was a nice old guy who loved to conversate and teach while he spoke.  I took over Cliff's areas and keys after he passed and thus I think about him often.

Michael S. Murphy - Boss and Friend : I worked for Mike who co-owned Custom Courier for a few years.  He and I had a great relationship as we worked closely together for the three-man company.  Mike lost a battle with cancer.  Work was never the same after he was gone.  He was the first person I knew that was a non-relative to pass away.  I had a hard time dealing with the fact that he'd never be around anymore.  It was weird to me to see someone everyday and then all of the sudden just have them be gone.  When I think about how early his life ended and the family he left behind I always think about how unfair it was and how maybe indeed the good do die young.

Bernard J. Piche Sr. - Grandfather (Dad's Father) : My grandfather and I were never really that close as he lived most of the time in Florida.  I don't have as many fond memories with him as I would like to have.  However I cherish the times I did get to see him and know that he always cared and loved me very much.  Besides anyone who could steal my grandmothers heart has to be one of the best fellas God ever made.

Donald H. Piche - Great Uncle (Dad's Father's Brother) : I don't recall to much about Uncle Donald before he had a stroke.  But I remember that his spirit was always there.  Despite being able to talk well he would still try to crack jokes around the holidays, and be his jovial self.  Shortly after his passing I won, the WPT's "Big Game" trophy, which I named after him.

Donald E. Shangraw - Uncle (Dad's Sister's Husband) : Uncle Donnie was the guy who taught me to swim.  He was one of the main reasons I ever went hunting.  He was a happy care-free fella who made friends wherever he went.  He was what many people would call a "character".  My Uncle was one of the first people I lost in my family while I was old enough to remember.  He is forever loved and missed.

If anyone has any memories or pics of any of these folks they'd like to share please do at Jason@JasonPiche.com  These were all great folks who I will remember and respect always.
